Extensions – Results Within 5 Days

Extensions, including conservatories as well, are looked upon as a minor development with the National Planning Policy Framework.

These are now really taking off. They offer the chance of adding value to the home as well as being the easy option to moving house to provide that extra space needed by the house-owner. They are obviously very popular at the moment because of the number of enquiries we get to help householders through the planning path.

Not going through a highly detailed flood risk assessment
In most cases it is the one development that can be carried out in Flood Zones 2 and 3 without having to go through a highly detailed flood risk assessment.

Ground floor footprint of below 250 square metres
Extensions, including conservatories as well, are looked upon as a minor development with the National Planning Policy Framework – so long as they have a ground floor footprint of below 250 square metres.

There is also what is called the sequential/exception test. This has to be done for more major developments and in some cases can lead to a planning application being refused. This is where you have to show there is nowhere else in the area that is better suited for development within a lower flood zoning.

But this is not required for an extension below 250 square metres ground floor footprint.

That is why we have such a high success rate.

We’ve done 4500+ assessments. 99% success rate.
