The London Eye Flood Risk Assessment

We are proud to say that our highest profile client was no less than the magical British Airways London Eye. The clients needed a flood risk assessment study carried out and we were chosen to do it. To say we were pleased to be given the commission is an understatement. Literally we felt ‘sky high’ to be given the assignment.

Not we hasten to add that there isn’t any question of the world’s largest observation wheel being threatened by flood. The London Eye stands on the top of a massive embankment on the South Bank of the Thames which only adds to its height and spectacular flying area across the river from the Houses of Parliament.

As part of its operational portfolio it has to hold on file the assessment for years to come to be pro-active in its concern for the safety of the millions of people who flock to the visitor attraction every year. It will enable the owners of The London Eye to monitor their position as flood levels rise and so keep a watching brief on their situation there.

A spokesman for the London Eye commented ‘We were very impressed with the thoroughly professional way David Eggleton handled the flood risk assessment’.

We’ve done 4500+ assessments. 99% success rate.
